Children's Ministry - JAM and Creche

kids

Unfortunately our toddler group is still having a long rest, post pandemic, with 2 out of 3 of our leaders having moved away.  We'll post here if we can restart.

Our Sunday morning programme for children aged 3 years to 11 years old is called JAM - Jesus and Me - and is all about having fun, making friends, finding out more about the Bible, and the children getting to know Jesus for themselves.

Our aim is to make sure every child can be themselves in a safe and welcoming environment. Our childrens' workers are DBS checked and have safeguarding training.  Our safeguarding policy is reviewed annually and can be found here.  There is always a trained First Aider on site.

On a normal week, the children join everyone else in the service for about the first 15 minutes.  Then, after a prayer for them and the leaders, we head upstairs to the big hall.  We have games, sometimes singing, a snack and a Bible time, currently exploring Luke's gospel with a craft each week.

If you would like to know more about bringing your children along on a Sunday then please contact us by clicking here.

For children aged 3 and under, we have a Creche (Sunday morning supervised  play time) which runs in the the Lower Hall (through the café and down the long corridor).  We have at least 2 helpers at all times and they are all DBS checked.  Parents can stay and play with their children or can leave them and return to the service; a helper will come and collect you if your child does not settle or needs you for some other reason.  The children can go up to JAM in the September after they turn 3.

Once the children make the transition to secondary school, they move up into our Youth Group.
